چکیده

In Einstein's general relativity, geometry replaces the concept of force in the description of the gravitation interaction. Such an approach rests on the universality of free-fall—the weak equivalence principle—and would break down without it. On the other hand, the teleparallel version of general relativity, a gauge theory for the translation group, describes the gravitational interaction by a force similar to the Lorentz force of electromagnetism, a non-universal interaction. It is shown that, similarly to the Maxwell's description of elec-tromagnetism, the teleparallel gauge approach provides a consistent theory for gravitation even in the absence of the weak equivalence principle.

We consider the possibility of using measurements of anomalous magnetic moments of elementary particles as a possible test of the Einstein Equivalence Principle (EEP). For the class non-metric theories of gravity described by the T Hǫµ formalism we find several novel mechanisms for breaking the EEP, and discuss the possibilities of setting new empirical constraints on such effects.

The Misner and Sharp approach to the study of gravitational collapse is extended to the dissipative case in, both, the streaming out and the diffusion approximations. The role of different terms in the dynamical equation are analyzed in detail. The dynamical equation is then coupled to a causal transport equation in the context of Israel– Stewart theory. The decreasing of the inertial mass dens...

In this paper we investigate the link between classical electrodynamics and the mass-energy equivalence principle, in view of the conclusions reached in ref.[1]. A formula for the radius of a charged particle is derived. The formula predicts the radius of the proton correctly. The radius of the electron turns out to be a surprising quantity that solves the existing problems of electrodynamics, ...

The Lorentz Transformation is derived from only three simple postulates: (i) a weak kinematical form of the Special Relativity Principle that requires the equivalence of reciprocal space-time measurements by two different inertial observers; (ii) Uniqueness, that is the condition that the Lorentz Transformation should be a single valued function of its arguments; (iii) Spatial Isotropy. It is a...

We compute all complex structures on indecomposable 6-dimensional real Lie algebras and their equivalence classes. We also give for each of them a global holomorphic chart on the connected simply connected Lie group associated to the real Lie algebra and write down the multiplication in that chart.
